Glaucoma Treatment

At Canseco Eye, we understand that preserving your vision is just as important as maintaining your lifestyle. That’s why we focus on advanced personalized treatments and place interventional glaucoma at the forefront of our care.

Whether through laser therapy, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) with advanced devices, procedural pharmaceuticals, or a customized combination of these options, Dr. Canseco will recommend the treatment plan that’s right for you.

For glaucoma we offer in-office simple laser treatments that help control eye pressure and protect your vision.

SLT (Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty) is used for open-angle glaucoma. This laser targets the eye’s natural drainage system to help fluid flow out more easily, lowering pressure over time.

PI (Peripheral Iridotomy), is used for narrow-angle or angle-closure glaucoma. It creates a tiny opening in the iris to improve fluid movement and prevent sudden pressure spikes.

Both procedures are quick, generally painless, and most patients return to normal activities the same day.

They are often covered by insurance and can reduce or even eliminate the need for daily eye drops. These treatments are a safe and effective way to help protect your vision long-term.

Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS): MIGS is a group of procedures designed to help manage glaucoma with less risk and faster recovery than traditional surgery. Stents and procedural pharmaceuticals are two of the most common treatments that can often be done stand alone or in combination with cataract surgery.
